Beasts of Fortune was a 2022 commission focused on developing a complete visual system for a character-driven digital project. The work included designing a full brandbook, establishing the typographic and graphic structure of the identity, and creating a series of 3D figures that extended the brand’s narrative. The intention was to give the client a coherent visual language—one that could support both static materials and a growing digital presence.
The project emerged from the need to define a world that was playful, symbolic, and layered. A key challenge was balancing the expressive qualities of the characters with the clarity required for a functioning identity system. Through a combination of structured typography, controlled texture, and disciplined color work, the identity stayed grounded as the characters became more experimental.
The final outcome was a cohesive visual framework supported by a set of rendered characters that demonstrated the potential of the brand across formats. The project showed how design systems and sculptural thinking can support each other, creating a unified approach that remains adaptable as the brand evolves.
