Of Being

Of Being is a sculptural series that reimagines everyday tools and workwear as quiet embodiments of mythic forces. A single boot, a pair of gloves, a set of worn clippers—objects shaped by labor and touch—are elevated into symbolic figures: Hermes, Cronos, Dactyl. Rather than portray the gods directly, the works explore how myth survives through the residue of use, how the ordinary becomes charged with agency when treated as a conduit rather than a prop.

Each piece operates at the boundary of artifact and portrait. The boot suggests speed and passage; the gloves, craft and unseen dexterity; the clippers, the relentless pressure of time. Together they form a study of being—of how identity can reside in the objects we rely on, and how those objects, when isolated, begin to echo the larger rhythms that shape a life.
